Default Back in Print - Great Read

Japanese Destroyer Captain: Pearl Harbor, Guadalcanal, Midway -
The Great Naval Battles As Seen Through Japanese Eyes
by Tameichi Hara (Author), Fred Saito (Author), Roger Pineau (Author)

Hara was captain of the destroyer that was long supposed to have cut PT-109 in half. Later research disputes this. Great book though. Hara was engaged in most of the big actions in the Pacific, and he survived.

Yes it is a great read. His last big action was the sinking of Yamato, and he had a ringside (if somewhat wet) seat.

One of my favorites.
