Nope. I've never seen this before, prior to yesterday. How do you check what the last windows update was?

Follow these steps to see which Windows updates are installed on your computer.
  1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update. (actually:"next")
  2. In the left pane, click View update history. Psst! keep this a secret I'm supposed to be computer illiterate.... Hey! I resemble that!!U-666

If this happened after the windows update you might want to give system restore a shot and pick the closest date before the update.

Plot thickens. So I turned off the power strip yesterday. I went to turn it on now. Won't power up at all. It's like it's unplugged now. Need to do research. Battery on motherboard? I guess this is my weekend project.

How old is the PC?
If it now does nothing at all it could be a faulty PSU.
Do any of the fans turn when pushing the power button?
