I think that there are a lot of additional parts to the puzzle that need to be assembled before anyone's ready to make any KickStarter announcements.

Is Larry Bond still involved with AGSI? He's been working on the next iteration of the Harpoon rules for a LONG time. Does he have any interest or clout to get the bugs repaired?

He owns the rights to the rules and he licenses the computer rights to AGSI to make the game. That's all that is publicly acknowledged. No one knows what (if any) conditions are included within that license agreement. AGSI's bungling has gone on for years. So, he is apparently satisfied with their arrangement.

Wow! That took them long enough. I'm still running 3.94.
This is how many years after they said that we'd get this patch for ANW?
Just...wow.

The actual miniatures rules that the game is based on is about that much, but it's totally worth it, even if the game actually never hits your game table, in my opinion. But it isn't for everyone. Only the most hardcore simulation naval gamers should go for it. I'll put it this way. I've learned more about naval engagements from reading the manuals for "Harpoon4.1", "Fear God and Dreadnought", and "Command At Sea", than I have from all the history books I've read. They're HORRIBLY complicated but extremely accurate in their portrayal of naval warfare on a tabletop (or map. You don't even need miniatures for it).
