My son became king of Denmark in a war, then a couple of years later he died of natural causes.
Now I'm king of Denmark. A bit overwhelming to say the least. Started the game in 867 as count of Ångermanland (my IRL home region), then duke of Norrland and now king. There has been some internal strife for quite some time now, I might have a problem to deal with. |

Wargame: AirLand Battles
From the creator of RUSE a game that included Intel and Counter-Intel into a WWII Battlefield, Battalion level RTS, came Wargame : AirLand battles, the cold war on the European Battlefield.
And that is the cat that kills you, if you play like a little mouse!....LOL!...Just kidding! Check out Wargame: AirLand battle, it is an interesting game that you can play Solo, Coop and Force on Force! |

http://gnomoria.com/ Link for the lazy.
Pretty awesome little Dwarf Fortress-like. Can't wait for it to get more developed but its still perfectly playable right now. Also, Eh, I got war of the roses in the recent paradox humble bundle and I have to say its pretty damn fun. Takes a bit to figure out but I love derping around with my Billhook lopping off the heads of Knights. |

In WotR, I don't "feel" my weapon, no matter if a light or heavy one, in Chivalry you can really feel the weight and force behind the different weapons. Movement, animations and combat looks very goofy. Also, Chivalry gives you the option to play in first person, which adds a lot to immersion and once you let your opponents head fly, you can really get into a blood rush, it is that awesome. I played both and for me, WotR does not even come close, not an inch. |

Well, maybe you could help to to Easternize, in return I'll give you some nice black bear pelts to make silly hats for your Royal Guards Nothing much happened over the next decades, trying to upgrade my techs and waiting for the terra incognita to disappear. I still cannot even reach the trading place in Chesapeake Bay, but I have a trader sitting there since the beginning, who evcen generates trade income. I found this screenshot from the cultural map odd: All other map modes leave the Navajo area blank. "We don't know who those folks are, we even don't exactly know where they live, but they certainly have culture!" |

Sniper Elite V2
One of the few things I like about that game despite irregular cross winds and bullet drops is that it shows in slow motion the sordid effect of a bullet hitting a human body.
I thought it was a great concept to remind gamers that in reality there is nothing entertaining about shooting someone and that fire arms are deadly serious!.... Distorted slugs exciting a human body. Distorted slug exciting a human body. The little white bar on the top of the scope is the cross wind indicator at your shooting position, not at the target position. The little white bar on the top of the scope is the cross wind indicator at your shooting position, not at the target position The little white bar on the top of the scope is the cross wind indicator at your shooting position, not at the target position. That game was crude, somewhat realistic and so tactical that the MP version was only successful for a short time, since you could not run and gun or Bunny jump. Then hit by one bullet, meant almost instant death, which I think should be the standard for every tactical shooter. Finally, at the hardest settings, based on the type of WWII Rifles used, the ammunition, the irregular cross wind and other factors, shooting at a distance over 300 yards, was not like shooting a laser beam. There were some variables that the shooter could not control. Thus cracking a long distance shot, could be a critical decision to make, weighing in the balance, between revealing your presence and hitting your target. The slow motion feature of a human body hit by a slug could be disengaged. In my book, it is an unusual and interesting game. Last edited by biosthetique; 09-10-13 at 10:46 AM. |

Still been meaning to get it. But the most disturbing thing in that game is when you shoot a man in his special place and the game shows what happens to it when the bullet hits it in slow motion.
Made me wince a little bit.
