Looks like HMS Victory, Lord Nelson't flagship at Trafalgar. Your picture is great, though in this case making it black & white doesn't make it more realistic, because the ship was last in service a long time before they even had photographs.

Actually i didn't edit the pic at all. Just the way i found it. Though i think it was black and white painted in RL or maybe black and yellow. I know very little about pre WWI Man-O-War's. I know that that ship was 1600's or so and I know of Lord Nelson but only in loose bits. You've a good eye for things.

Thinking that black and yellow might have been East India company colors though.

Ah. Sorry about that. Probably a B&W reproduction originally made for a book.

Well, Victory is one of the most famous sailing ships ever. It could have been any First Rate Ship-Of-The-Line - that was just my first guess.

I'm pretty sure that Royal Navy ships in later years used a yellow stripe over the main-deck gunports, just as US ships used white. The hull was usually black, though earlier on natural wood was more common. I could easily be misremembering though.

Called the 'Nelson Chequer'.
Nelson apparently used the same style for all vessels under his command "to be distinguished with greater certainty in case of falling in with an enemy".
Black and yellow stripes, with black gunports.

And yes, I have just lifted this shamelessly from Wikipedia.

Yes, very nice!

I love the whole 'Secret' thing, complete with notation circles.
