Default [REL] Less Annoying Footsteps

This is a simple mod that replaces the footstep sounds for walking on metal with copies of the sounds used for walking on wood. I think it sounds much more like heavy soled boots. Makes Herr Kaleun's occasional flamenco routines much less noticeable as well.

Thanks, I'm gonna try this.

Some sounds get old real quick, next to edit out should be the navigator calling every waypoint.

For the time being... my workaround for that is to pause the game when plotting out long courses (like through the kiel canal). It shuts him up

Although I don't yet have the SH5 I can understand this one through my memories of the Great Naval Battles series where the footsteps sounds between ststaions used to drive me nuts.

But isn't that what you always...no, wait - I was thinking of Tarjak.

I'd like to upload this to the Subsim downloads area but I can't figure out how to do it. Can anyone tell me what I need to do, please?

Thanks

Thanks for this, I really don't look good in high heels and they were killing my feet.

You need to request upload access from Neal, send him a PM by clicking here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/priv...newpm&u=209959

After he approves, you'll have a link to "Add" files in the download section, near the top in the navigation tab.

Oh and thanks for the new sound file!

Been using this mod- it's great thanks

But I'm still getting the tap-dancing routine even when walking. Takes a couple of steps and then its rapid fire tappity-tap-tap time again! I don't think this is anything to do with any mod(s) being loaded or not, seems to do this all the time.

Is this a common thing or just me?
