WW1 Uboat sim or mod?
So, is there any good, relatively modern sim or mod that correctly let me play WW1 Uboats? Last time was long long ago.
Thanks! |

Not that I’m aware of.
“Wolves of the Kaiser: 1914-1918” Is a WIP. Beautiful models and amazing graphics built on SH4. I haven’t seen gameplay yet I’m really looking forward to this. https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=219 If you like board games - “Raiders of the Deep: U-boats of the Great War, 1914-18” is very good. It’s a solo narrative style WG. I found it a good way to explore deeply into the period . https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/...at-war-1914-18 1914: Shells of Fury is (2007) game. Dated, lousy graphics engine, sound etc, with issues such as no way to save a patrol etc. The Game is not up to SH standards. However, the game does model some aspects of these early uboats , interesting campaign, mining, etc. The mod “U-Boote Kurs West Mod “ adds voice, models, improves sea etc. and is recommended. I made a few mods that removes the game’s auto targeting, some better tools, etc. My goal is to place the player on the u-boat. Then hunt with just binoculars and collect targeting data for manual solutions like the real commanders did. https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/sho...120872&page=17 |
