Sad news from Peru + Museum Ships Discussion

It is with a heavy heart that I inform those of you who haven't already heard about the scrapping of ex-Peruvian navy cruiser Almirante Grau, "the last gun cruiser" which was not successfully preserved as a museum ship. Laid down by the Dutch as De Ruyter in 1939 but not finished until the 1950s, she served the Peruvian navy for over forty years. Her sister, Aguirre (ex-De Zeven Provinciën) was scrapped way back in 2000.

I had personally been eager to visit this ship, now the remaining museum ships at the top of my list to see are Mikasa, Aurora, Alabama, Texas and obviously U-995. On that note, my questions for everyone else are:

What has been your favorite museum ship of those you've visited?
What museum ship are you most eager to see in the future?

My Favorite 2 are the U-505 Type IXC, and the USS_Texas (BB-35)

HNLMS De_Ruyter lost in the Battle of the Java Sea hit by a longlance type 93 torpedo from Japanese heavy cruiser haguro 27th February 1942 and sank in the early hours of the 28th February

Myself I liked the USS Salem the most. It's not all sanitized like the USS Massachusetts or the others at Battleship Cove and the old navy vets that run the ship are full of fantastic sea stories.

August my dear fellow theres nothing left of these wargaves the only proof that the ships were once there is the indentation in the sand on the seabed where they settled after thier sinking with a odd few fragments of debris.
what a very sad world we live in.

after world war II the wrecks of the Java Sea Battle were all classed as war graves and protected by law but today many of these wargrave sites have been striped bare and the rusting hulks cut up and the scrap sold ileagally.
A wargrave should be left alone and respected salvaging scavaging to make a fast buck $$$ outa brave mens blood is disgusting but im also a realist as the sands of time pass the moral compas of nations or the willingness to police these areas with their navies is way down to list of priorities.

Well I completely agree with you, but here in this thread the questions were:

What has been your favorite museum ship of those you've visited?
What museum ship are you most eager to see in the future?

As for the second question I would like someday like to visit HMS Victory.
