I see it an other way no matter projectiles or charges…
To me AP setting gives the ammunition (any ammunition type linked to this controller) the capability to pierce or not any steel coat when damage is reached.
But again that’s only my opinion… even if Romanian devs gave AP=0 (it’s not a reference they did so many weird things)

I've just edited parameters looking at various versions of supermods and original Sh3 as reference, anyway with AP=0 depth charges cause damage to the hull integrity if in right damage radius.
