If the files that conflict are : menu_1024_768.ini or en_menu.txt or commands_en.txt that can explain the CTD.
In that case use Winmerge to compare the corresponding files of the mods to those you have on your install.
Winmerge will show you the differences.
Edit the files manualy so that no fileovewriting will occur.
The procedure can be very time consuming and it has some possiblity of error. The trial and error technique applies hear.

KEEP A BACKUP OF THE ORIGINAL FILES IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG.

Hope that helps.
It sure did help me.
Thanks!

Some mods usually show some conflicts but to now it was never an issue.

Update: I also installed the h.sie-patch because it has the 4GB-patch incl. Now, I got the FM V 2.1D running again

Maybe, that was/is it ... I will now try re-installing the other mods as well.

How important is it, that I use the latest version JSGME 2.6.0.157 for that? I only have the version that came with GWX.

Ah , yes the 4GB patch.
A very useful tool , since SH3 can not use more that 2 Gb of memory , even if your rig has more - 8Gb in your case.
So , this might help.
Good luck.

I have 8GB of ram, and still needed the 4GB patch to make all the mods run together without the dreaded CTD.

P.S. I would update to the latest JSGME.

JSGME: Yes, but what does it do? Update just for good measure?

First of all, My beautifull VIIC/42, on patrol in December 1940 in the waters between Ireland and Engeland:

I came across a small freighter, all alone and begging for an eel or 2

And then, a moment for my Bernhard. He spotted an enemy boat and he was so proud... I was called to the deck, and this is what I saw....:

A couple of shots from my laptop career. The graphics are not quite as good as my desktops are.

U-51 leaving the Belchen supply ship after refueling and reloading.

A nice shot of type VIIB U-51 sailing on the surface at night.

Make them get into their life raft and then sink their sailboat. Now if your radio operator says they have radioed your presence to the Royal Navy, all bets are off!
