Default Sound SDL/TWOs help :-)

I think I've tried everything here.. I think.

I've edited the SDL sound file with TWO's SDL editor, SKWAS's editor and even edited and set and replaced the specific wav files volumes to zero.... YET!! these sounds are still coming up normal.

I can only think the original files have been copied to a secret location... is this SH5 itself or TWOs

Help.

I would point this question to TWoS Mod Kapitan Vecko. Known here at Subsim as "Vdr1981"

More specifically the footstep wood and metal sound files.

I also edited these sound files and replaced them with a zero volume random file.
Just renamed this file a few times, jsgme'd it to replace the originals. This plus the SDL edit with both TDWs and SKWAS.

The problem I'm having is that when I run the hydrophone search scripts at TC=128... all I hear on the hydrophone is the damn footsteps, non-stop like a herd of elephants, up and down the sub.

Ahhh.. Not to worry, I resolved it.

Did a major SKWAS edit on Volume and Min/Max ranges, and main.cfg fiddling in User\Documents.

Used various combinations of settings but nothing worked until the last setting, which doesn't make sense.. but not going to fix it any further now that it's working.
