In the NewUIs_TDC_7_4_2_ByTheDarkWraith folder I can see the data folder and all the .dll files.
The game wasn’t installed from the dvd, I downloaded it from Ubisoft.
In my mods folder I have a few versions of NewUis, (7-1-0, 7-2-0, 7-4-2 and 7-5-0).
I installed just the mod NewUIs_TDC_7_4_2_ByTheDarkWraith as you recommend in post #25 but it still has the same problem, so I guess this is the problematic mod.

I've been following your clock problem.
I might have the answer for your problem. I had a similar problem with
the soan not showing. To cure the problem TDW advised me to delete
some files.

In your main sh5 dir delete all files ending in _Draggables
example PageClock_Dragables
I think about 14 files in total

When you restart the Game these files will be recreated with default positions

If I remember correctly you do not delete the file TDWDraggables.DLL just the ones ending
with _Draggables

These files are user locations for movable objects sometimes odd resolutions
or changing res can leave items such as the clock ,soan etc off the page.

Remember to backup these files first just in case so you can put them back
if something goes wrong.

Good Luck

Hi Stew

Good piece of advice and certainly worth trying.

According to tordillo the watch has never worked from the first time he tried to use it.

You would have expected it to show at least the once.

Also it does not explain with each different TDW NewUi he has tried to use it is the same problem.

Hi Theberbster,
I´m not sure if I´m using TDW´s Options File Editor Viewer correctly, I´m using the one that is inside the NewUIs which is of the version 1.0.28.0, but I´m having problems when I ran it the second time after making changes in the mod list, I couldn´t find the menu.txt file.
Regarding the mods 7-1-0, 7-2-0, 7-5-0, I´ve already removed them from the mod list, only the 7-4-2 remains.
I´m using the TDW´s Genreric File Patcher succesfully, I guess.
Also, I did what Stew U-582 proposed, but only found 9 files ending with _Draggables and it didn´t work.

Hi tordillo

OFEV used to be done from within the base mod but not anymore.

See my tutorial Post #6 for OFEV correct installing.

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=211804

If you followed my previous instructions then you will only have 2 enabled mods so some of the instructions highlighted below will not be applicable.

While you still have all your mods enabled you can create a mod list mep file if you wish.

See my tutorial post # 5 for full instructions.

When you are ready disable your mods down to 7-4-2

Delete the disabled 7-4-2 base mod so as to remove your current OFEV attached to it.

Copy a new 7-4-2 base mod to your mods folder.

Keep the 7-4-2 base mod disabled until after installing the OFEV and making any changes to it.

Once you have saved the changes made to the OFEV then you can enable all your mods.

When done load the saved mep file.

I think that might just have solved your problem.

Hi Theberbster
I´ve installed the OFEV as you recommended, I did it using the one you specified in your post #6, not the one that is in the NewUIs folder.
Previously I deleted the NewUIs 7-4-2 from my Mod folder, and after installing the OFEV I copied a new 7-4-2 mod and enabled it.
Finally I started a new career but I found the same problem.

Hi tordillo

I am amazed after all that has been done that the same problem remains as it does not make any sense.

Let’s just go back and confirm the problem.

With a new campaign

With 2 mods

NewUIs_TDC_7_4_2_ByTheDarkWraith
Open Horizons II v2.5

When you go to one of the officers and press the clock icon you cannot see the clock.

Is that what is happening?

In TDW's Options File Editor Viewer go to the Clock tab and change the default setting 1024 to 4.

You should see the clock pop on to your screen when you get to TC x 8

I have just found this alternative watch mod today.

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=217929

Just added it to my mod list January 22nd and can highly recommend it.

It would be interesting to see if adding this mod fixes the problem

Peter
