Guys,
why not uploading HiRes versions of your videos to UBRS for public download? I mean - youtube is a fine thing, but I like to watch things BIG |

Maybe movie-material....
I have a suggestion for a new movie....I could make it myself, but im having my first exam in psychology this week, so i have to read....
Anyway, here it goes.... Preface: Dowly was sitting with his computer, playing SH3 and writing stuff on the subsim forum. He had found a great sh3 addon, and was about to inform the others on the forum about this finding. Just as he pressed his "submit reply" button, he realizes that he had mentioned the bittorrent-site where this download could be found... "Perkele", he said, " i have to remove this before Gizzmoe sees it!" But he was too late. Gizzmoe had seen Dowlys bad, bad post, and just as he pressed the "delete" button, Dowly pressed the "edit" button. This action created a mysterious timegap between Dowlys SH3 game and the subsim-forums, and he suddenly found himself (with four other subsim-members) on the deck of a submarine in Kiel...... ************************************************** ********* It was a calm and sunny day in the port of Kiel. A german submarine was ready to go, when suddely a bright light appeared beside it. When the crew got their eyesight back, they spotted five strange looking men standing on the deck of their U-boat. One of the strangers (the one with the pink hat) suddenly draw a luger, and threaten the five officers to leave the vessel. Then the Strangers took over the sub, and headed for the great, blue ocean.... ************************************************** ********* I hope someone would like to make a movie out of this (or something similar)! And, no, i haven't been smoking anything weird.... :rotfl::rotfl: No disrespect to the people mentioned!

No dice, seth, I would probably be a more hardcore version of Thomsen, and that is not healthy for the audiences.

Maybe it's way too much to ask from one-to-ten minutes long movies, but I feel that having some different characters with diverse personalities in them would greatly add to the experience (like with the Bernard movies).

That's a bit hard to do with this sim though Safe-Keeper since there is no scripting of the characters on the U-boats. All we can do is select one f-up and diss him in our movies! There was one movie posted by Rob (not sure if he made it) that had vocals and good camera work in it for each crewmen onboard. It felt a bit too Star Trek though!

Outstanding Vids BTW lately Stabiz!
WoW, your latest Bernard movie must have taken forever with all those captions! Geez! I've been busy with school as well! I'm seeking my degree in IT/Networking & Security Management at a Technology college. I too have to take psychology and a bunch of other criminal justice classes for this degree! I will try to find time to make a video every now and then, but they are a bit time consuming to make (even the short ones) |

I realize the difficulties with this idea...It would have been rather cool, though.....
Too bad SH3 cant be scripted as easy as "operation Flashpoint"... Just some modifications to a .ini file, and there you go! Anyone remember "player in jeepOne : jeepOne setfuel 1" or "init= this inflame true"? Thats easy scripting...... (No disrespect to SH3)

I hope Silent Hunter IV allows for animation editing and cutscene-making the way RTS games do.
