Living Colour is Vernon Reid's (guitar) baby.

They disbanded in 1995 after the hype died down (some guy named Mick said they were better than sliced bread) but re-formed again in 2000 with a different bass player. They've been cranking out albums ever since and the next one is due sometime this year or maybe next year.

C.O.P. kind of paints them as hard rock but they routinely go in all sorts of directions (everything from acoustic blues and jazz to funk, metal, and modern R&B), which can be tough on the fans.
