Default [REQ] Lower Flow Noise

My request to someone who is capable to do this, or to instruct me to do this, is to decrease the flow noise across the sonar head.

The reason is (for me at least) at speeds like 1/3 Ahead and more, the flow noise that I receive while listening to the hydrophone is too high. Obviously at speeds like Ahead Full, Flank or standard or even Slow should not have no flow noise.

But to me, if your travelling at ahead 1/3 submerged (1-2knts on average). Shouldn't the flow noise that you receive while listening to your hydrophone while travelling at 1/3 be low enough that you can actually hear without having to go all stop?

Cheers,

Krauter

That all depends. Using the GHG, flow noise would come from the hydroplanes that are right beside the hydrophones but at the same time they are on a relatively smooth section of hull. The KDB, on the other hand, would generate a lot of flow noise due to the shape of the hydrophone array itself (round tube on a stick often facing longways toward the direction of travel).

I don't know about what level of volume would be accurate, but, what percent of the current volume would you like it?

Here, extract this file into the sound folder in the sound mod you are using(disabling the mod before hand), and re-enable the mod.
