Default I finally got the recognition I so richly deserve

It has become evident that I am just a little bit better than the riff raff on this board.

Today, I received in the mail, a very very exclusive offer. I will describe it to you all because this will be the closest you will ever come to it.

Feel free to bask in my glory.

I was invited to apply for the new and very exclusive Visa Black Card. It is limited to only 1% of the US residents to ensure the highest caliber of personal service is provided to every cardmember.

13.24% APR (variable at 10% over Prime)
Limited Membership
24-hour concierge service
EXCLUSIVE rewards program
Patent Pending Carbon Card

All for a $495.00 annual fee.

Are they F-ing kidding??

Who the F would pay $495 per year to have a credit card with 13% APR???

What a frigging scam! Oh and I was selected. How was I selected? and why did I get this invitation via bulk mail?

Sheesh, $500 per year and 13% APR ohhhh sign me up today!! A black credit card, people will be sooooo impressed.

Anyone else get this oh so exclusive offer?
:rotfl:

No I didn't, but why would I when my Credit Union offers me a Visa Credit card with 11.5% interest and up to 55 days interest free?

No Fees or charges as well

I wouldn't go near a bank these days here in Australia. The "Big" four banks here all rank in the top 10 best financial institutions in the world. How do you think they got there!

You would be very surprised how may apply and get hosed. If people will hand over their bank account information to Baboo in Africa so he can put millions into said bank account, people will sign up for this card.

Yes I was also received a similiar solicitation last fall. Like you I just scoffed at the notion of paying $500 dollars for the privledge of swiping a black piece of plastic through a card reader.

It's not black, it's ebony! Do I have to explain everything? Anyway couldn't you do that with Capital One's build your card deal, or are those barbarians lying?

Not as exclusive as they used to be. One of my friends has one. The funny thing about the Amex Centurion cards is that they're really thick and pretty heavy!

I may have gotten one in the mail and not known about it. I throw away all credit card offers, as no one is going to give me credit anyway. Hey, maybe I threw away a million smackoleons and never even knew...

Pretty much the same in the UK......the banks are falling over themselves to get people to use their cards to pay off existing balances on competitors cards.

It's really a vicious cycle usually ending up with the man in the street racking up huge debts as a consequence.

Sadly, some people are so desperate they go for it.

But you said not very exclusive ... those kinds of limits are extremely exclusive.
