Default [Finished] Hasegawa 1/700 Uboats Type VIIC & IXC

I just finished my diorama of VIIC and IXC meeting in the Atlantic. Just to regain some of my modelling skills (I have put modelling on a back burner for over two years :hmm before I move to "more serious" projects.

Just thought I would share it with you. The boats are Hasegawa with Tom's PE parts.
If I could find somebody cheap to engrave a polished brass plaque I am thinking about mounting in on the front edge saying:
Meeting in the Atlantic

Typ VIIC and IXC Uboats 1/700

The kits were molded very well with great detail but adding the PE parts was testing my skills to the max.

Any comments/suggestions/questions are welcome.

Here are some pictures:

I asked my girl to hold a penny next to the kits so you will get an idea how tiny these kits are:

I have that kit! Great job. You need a cover so the dust doesn't ruin it.

I think that the whole diorama will fit into one of these "sliding" acrylic cases used to display football mini-helmets (I used one for F-16 cockpit).

The railings are Tom's photo-etch and were real B*** to put on.

How much were those photo etched parts ? Did you use super glue to glue them?

Yep I superglued them and they were about $18 shipped. If you're interested PM me and I will send you a link to the website.
