Like I said earlier opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one. What you’re finding are someone else’s opinions which confirms your own bias. Evidence, is what courts require and so far nobody has provided jack squat to even file charges. You are currently engaged in a pointless circle jerk, you posting links to opinions you agree with and someone else posting links to opinions they agree with. It’s an utter waste of bandwidth and energy which goes no where.

Don’t despair, as I suggested earlier you don’t have to wait for the DOJ. There is absolutely nothing preventing you or your democrat sources from making a citizens arrest and presenting your evidence to the court, THE WORLD AWAITS, GO FOR IT.

Section 3 was put in the 14th to prevent former Confederate leaders from being seated in Congress, The Enforcement Act of 1870, provided the means to do that.
However that act was repealed in 1948. They did leave the law on the books (18 U.S.C. sec 2383).

So if you want to use section 3 of the 14th Amendment to prevent Trump from running for office, you need to CHARGE AND CONVICT him. And until you do that, any discussion on using it the way you want to, is moot.

The following case outlines the precedent for what you're attempting to do.

Berger V. United States

Berger was prevented from joining the House of Representatives due to a conviction for violation of the Espionage Act. As soon as the Supreme Court overturned that conviction, Berger was then elected to 3 successive terms as a congressman.

There will be no charges filed, there will be no evidence presented to gain a conviction. After eight long years of spectacle no evidence, formal charges, no defense, no judge or jury required. The people now believe the media is the judge, editorials are the evidence and the mob is the jury.

A mob now so stirred up that party officials can just arbitrarily take a name off the ballot because they have the approval of the mob of kool-aid drinkin card carrying believers. The irony is those same believers think they’re the ones saving democracy.

But that is not what matters is it? Impeachments are not legal matters but political exercises. There is no jury but two groups of politicians who at times would let off a serial child killer if it suited their political leanings. What does matter though, when it comes to politicians and corruption is the court of public opinion.
