Default bernard is gone

Sorry guys! Seems that kriegsmarine headquarters decide to give our champion his own commandship...

Construit en 1928 sous le nom de BERNARD. Armement inconnu.

In English:
Built in 1928 under the name of BERNARD. Unknown 'armement'?
Bought in 1929 by the 'compagnie generale transatlantique. kept its name. Based in Le Havre and in Bordeaux in 1932.
TAKEN BY THE GERMANS IN AUGUST 1940 (and given to you know who...)
Scuttled in Bordeaux the 18th of august 1944 by german troops. 'renfloué' in may 1945, repaired and active work since.
The 12th of july 1952, during its tugging to Fort de France (martinique) sank in ocean.

Incredible isn't it????

What really happened was some troops tried to take her for a fishing trip. When they got on board one of them fell through the rotting hull. They then reported back that they had done their duty and 'scuttled' her.:rotfl:

Nice find, unterseemann.

Did you buy it in Poland? If so, somewhere around Warsaw maybe?
