I have to award it to Markus since he got in just ahead with "pupa" - although very well done to bracer for getting it just a whisker too late - and spotting the 'regal' connection with the Monarch butterfly

Thanks, mate - butterflies & moths are a special interest of mine, so if you pick something you know about then you can answer the questions with confidence, picking your way through the awkward business of answering honestly but without giving up too much
