That's kinda like looking at a dog and recognizing it as a dog. Russia is what it is with Putrid at the helm. Russia's conduct and behavior since Putrid has been in charge speaks for itself. All of Europe, especially the U.K recognizes and understands that. |

Oh, I know Eichhörnchen. I think it's the consensus here and in the world in general that Russia is a terrorist state and has been for decades. We are just more open to recognizing that now. As far as the Veto. It's anyone's guess how that will play out.

Johnson: Ukraine has nothing to negotiate with Russian Federation
Former Prime Minister of Great Britain Boris Johnson is convinced that under the current circumstances Ukraine has nothing to negotiate with Russia. He wrote about this in a column for the Wall Street Journal, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform. "I understand why Volodymyr Zelensky says that he is ready for negotiations with Putin, and I do not doubt the sincerity of the Ukrainian president. If there was even an adequate peace plan available, the Ukrainian government would quickly seize it," Johnson said. According to him, Ukraine definitely wants peace. "Of course, Ukraine would like negotiations. But there is one problem, and it is the same one that Zelensky faces every day since February 24 - there is nothing to agree on. No potential mediator has yet been able to come up with a compromise that would be even slightly acceptable." - said the former British Prime Minister. In his opinion, if we even assume that Western leaders would succeed in convincing Ukraine to "exchange land for peace", "any agreement of this kind will be disgusting and a moral disgrace for humanity." "Even if the Ukrainians can be convinced to give up their rights to part of their lands, although they must not, cannot and will not do this, there is no reason to believe that Putin will abide by the terms of the agreement. Putin does not want to receive part of Ukraine. He wants all of her," Johnson emphasized. Source: https://censor.net/en/n3381745 Scholz directly appealed to Putin: "Stop this war and withdraw troops from Ukraine" Russia must stop the war against Ukraine and withdraw all its troops from its territory. This is stated in the statement of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Censor.NET reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine. "Stop this war, withdraw your troops and clear the way for peace negotiations, which cannot be dictated by Russia regarding Ukraine," - said Scholz to Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, no country is the neighbor's backyard. "No one has the right to take someone else's territory," the chancellor added. Source: https://censor.net/en/n3381748

Zaporizhzhia shelling: Explosions at occupied nuclear site in Ukraine
By Patrick Jackson BBC News, London More than a dozen powerful explosions have been recorded near a huge Russian-occupied nuclear power plant in south Ukraine since Saturday evening. The head of the UN nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, made an urgent appeal for a stop to the fighting at the Zaporizhzhia plant, Europe's biggest. "Whoever is behind this, it must stop immediately," he said. "You're playing with fire!" The plant stands on the River Dnipro, on the front line in the war. Russia's military accused Ukrainian forces on the other side of the river of shelling the area under its control. There was no immediate word from the Ukrainians who have previously suggested Russian forces shell the area themselves despite having their troops there. The area around the plant, including the nearby Russian-occupied town of Enerhodar, had been under regular attack for months but there had been a period of calm before the new explosions this weekend, which continued into Sunday morning. Monitors from Mr Grossi's organisation, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), witnessed some of the explosions from their windows. Citing information provided by officials at the Russian-controlled plant, the IAEA team said there had been damage to some buildings, systems and equipment at the site, but nothing so far "critical for nuclear safety and security". There were no reports of casualties. "The news from our team yesterday and this morning is extremely disturbing," Mr Grossi said. "Explosions occurred at the site of this major nuclear power plant, which is completely unacceptable." He called once again for the two warring sides to agree and implement a nuclear safety and security zone around the plant as soon as possible. "I'm not giving up until this zone has become a reality," he said. "As the ongoing apparent shelling demonstrates, it is needed more than ever." Russian state media quoted an official from Russian nuclear power operator Rosenergoatom as saying 15 shells had been fired at the plant's facilities, landing near a dry nuclear waste storage facility and a building that houses fresh spent nuclear fuel, but no radioactive emissions had been detected. The plant was overrun by Russian forces a few weeks after Moscow invaded Ukraine on 24 February. Russia annexed the Zaporizhzhia region and other Ukrainian territory in September but has been pushed back on the battlefield in the south, notably in Kherson region, and the two armies face each other across the River Dnipro (known as the Dnieper in Russian). https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-63694763

They recognize that Russia is bombing the critical infrastructure of Ukraine in order to create unbearable living conditions for civilians, and are calling for new strikes," Kuleba said. He called for a complete ban on Russian state propaganda in the EU and other countries. Source: https://censor.net/en/n3381866 Melnyk to Sholtz: Russia only understands strength. Give Putin ultimatum Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Melnyk believes that Germany should not ask, but in an ultimatum form, demand Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine. He voiced his position on Twitter, addressing German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Censor.NET reports. "Mr. Chancellor. It's good that you shouted to Putin to 'stop the war'. But these are just words. Russia only understands force. Give Putin an ultimatum. With painful consequences. Stop the energy genocide against Ukrainians. Do it," Melnyk wrote. We will remind you that the day before, Scholz directly addressed the President of the Russian Federation, Putin. "Stop this war, withdraw your troops and clear the way for peace negotiations with Ukraine, which would not be dictated by Russia. No country is a neighbor's backyard. No one has the right to encroach on someone else's territory," Scholz said at the state party conference Social Democratic Party of Germany. Germany will help repair Ukrainian infrastructure facilities, - Federal Development Minister Schulze
Germany will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine due to Russian attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure. This was stated by the Minister of Development of Germany, Svenja Schulze. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to ARD, Censor.NET informs. It is about the supply of generators, repair of power lines, water mains and gas pipelines. "We will do everything possible to ensure that Ukraine survives this war," added Schultze. Source: https://censor.net/en/n3381904 Russian Federation spread rumor about "execution" of captured occupiers to avoid responsibility. Fictitious surrender is war crime, - Lubinets In the pro-Kremlin mass media, the Ukrainian military is accused of violating the procedure of surrender. The occupiers in the Luhansk region staged a surrender and opened fire on Ukrainian servicemen. Dmytro Lubinets, the representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on human rights, reported the incident on his Telegram , Censor.NET reports. "From separate pieces of the video about the incident with the Russian military in the Luhansk region, it can be concluded that, using the staged capture, the Russians committed a war crime — they opened fire on the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In this case, persons from among Russian military personnel cannot be considered prisoners of war, but are those who are fighting and committing treason. Returning fire is not a war crime. On the contrary, those who want to use the protection of international law for murder must be punished. The only reason for the death of Russian servicemen on the territory of Ukraine is the criminal policy of the Russian Federation, which launched an unjustified genocidal war against the Ukrainian people. It is not surprising that such "throw-ins" with accusations are taking place against the background of the liberation of Kherson and the exposure of thousands of new facts of the Kremlin's war crimes. It will not be possible to switch attention. Killers remain killers, and war criminals await the tribunal," Lubinets said. Source: https://censor.net/en/n3381885 Ukraine will investigate video with liquidated occupiers, - Stefanishyna Ukraine is investigating a video that, according to Kremlin propagandists, allegedly shows Russian occupiers being shot and surrendered. Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna in a comment to The Associated Press noted that it is "very unlikely" that the short edited fragments reflect what Moscow claims, Censor.NET reports with reference to UNIAN. "Of course, the Ukrainian authorities are investigating this video," Stefanishyna said. Stefanyshyn noted that the Ukrainian forces were "absolutely not interested in anyone's "execution" and received a direct order to take "as many prisoners of war as possible" so that they could be exchanged for Ukrainian soldiers. "Every potential executed Russian soldier is some Ukrainian who cannot be exchanged, so there is no spirit and logic here," she said. Asked whether Ukraine would allow an international investigation, Stefanishyna said: "We'll see. There are no problems with that." The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine called for further investigation. "The monitoring mission is aware of this video and is studying it... We reiterate our call for all such allegations to be properly and promptly investigated by the appropriate authorities," the statement obtained by The Associated Press said.
