The Russian Federation tends to use ultimatums. It will be ready for a real dialogue only when it feels complete geopolitical isolation.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with the Italian publication Corriere della Sera, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.

"They (the Russians. - Ed.) do not want to stop, they did not want to stop from the very beginning. Their mission is only one. They have no other plan - B or C. They have only one plan: to occupy the entire territory of Ukraine," he said Zelensky

He also emphasized that all statements from the very beginning regarding negotiations are not about dialogue, but about ultimatums.

"If you want to talk, you talk. You can't talk with weapons in your hands," the president is convinced.

Zelensky recalled that he had tried to negotiate with the Russian Federation since the beginning of his presidency, but Russia only spoke in the language of ultimatums and did not make contact.

"Don't you want to meet (this is about the wishes of Russian President Putin. - Ed.)? OK. Do you think that you and I are not on the same level, that you are higher, that you are the president of a large country? OK, let's talk on the phone. Don't you want to be alone? OK , then give us someone to talk. It's normal for me, I don't consider myself a special person because I'm the president. I am a person. I don't care about the level of dialogue. I am ready to communicate, and I really wanted to," the head of state noted, adding that his only meeting with Putin was in December 2019 as part of the Norman summit in Paris, after which the leader of the aggressor state did not fulfill all his obligations.

Zelensky emphasizes that Russians will be ready for a real dialogue only when they feel the complete geopolitical isolation of their country.

President Volodymyr Zelensky says Russia has launched more than 30 drone attacks on Ukraine in just two days.

He added that in total, Moscow had also carried out some 4,500 missile strikes and over 8,000 air raids.

Speaking from Kyiv and standing beside what appeared to be a downed Iranian Shahed drone, Mr Zelensky pledged to "clip the wings" of Moscow's air power.

Western officials believe Iran has supplied a large number of drones to Russia, but Moscow and Tehran deny it.

It comes as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called Russia's aggressive use of drones "appalling".

The top US diplomat accused Russian commanders of using the devices to "kill Ukrainian civilians and destroy the infrastructure they rely on for electricity, for water, for heat" during a visit to the Canadian capital Ottawa.

"Canada and the United States will keep working with our allies and partners to expose, to deter, and to counter Iran's provision of these weapons," Mr Blinken said.

The Russian occupiers, who invaded the territory of Ukraine, continue to suffer losses in equipment and manpower.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET informs.

Occupiers announced completion of evacuation from right bank of Kherson region

The evacuation of the civilian population from the right bank of the Kherson region, in particular from the regional center, organized by the occupiers, has been completed.

'Severely undermanned' Russian units at 6pc of normal fighting strength

"Severely depleted" Russian Army companies in the Kherson sector have been fighting with between six and eight men each, when they should be formed of around 100 soldiers, the MOD has said.

In its daily update, the UK Ministry of Defence added: "In the last six weeks there has been a clear move from Russian ground forces to transition to a long-term, defensive posture on most areas of the front line in Ukraine.

"This is likely due to a more realistic assessment that the severely undermanned, poorly trained force in Ukraine is currently only capable of defensive operations.

"Even if Russia succeeds in consolidating long-term defensive lines in Ukraine, its operational design will remain vulnerable.

"To regain the initiative, it will need to regenerate higher quality, mobile forces which are capable of dynamically countering Ukrainian breakthroughs and conducting their own large-scale offensive operations."
