BTW, cooking the food does make it last longer. I know there are other ways to preserve food, requiring barrels and such, but I haven't figured it out yet. So far I haven't seen you guys do it.

Bloody disaster, catastrophe, sheer intervention of gods most foul

While transporting the only female sheep found in the entire game, we were both killed by a bear

Well I haven't been able to make the sods breed yet, so it's no major catastrophe.

I've been trying to put stuff in barrels, tomatoes, and so forth but they don't seem to last that long. I've been wanting to pickle stuff but I need salt for that which we don't have.

We have 2 rams so we'll just have to make due with a limited wool production.

Still havent found rock salt. I'll mount an expedition south, cross the ocean directly

@Pisces: If it's possible, whitelist me, same username as here. I'll probably wander off as usual, but all the animals and stuff I can give to you guys.

As for food decay, it used to be that if you stored it either high up or deep down, the temperature was lower and it lasted longer. Not sure how it's now.

If you'll be exploring keep an eye out for rock salt.
It's a rock layer so you'll be walking on it.

- 1 iron pickaxe (if available)
- 1 bronze axe

Explored the lands to the north, couldn't even find clay. Some cows and horses/donkeys there, though.

Anyone explored west/east?

"Soon" gets a relative meaning when Journeymap spits out 1.5 Gpixel image of the world. It generated a map of 26112x56320 pixels. I had to find special software that could handle gigantic images to crop it. (link: VIPS)

But the majority of it was mostly empty. (some tiny chunks not sure where they came from) The explored territory fits into about 11112x16000, still rougly 180 Mpixel. And 18 Mbyte PNG in size.

Here is the cropped full resolution file with the all discovered terrain:

Here is the 'thumbnail' of it:

There has got to be something. Now, go back and find it. And don't return before you do!
