More screenies from my fictionalized sortie by Hipper and Tirpitz (supported by air cover) agaist a PQ convoy.
(fictionalized cause it's actually successful :P ) (actually, just an edited Happy Times mission in late 1942) And now- Stukas attack! |

CCIP, Love the Stuka, one of the best planes during the war, not for performance, just looks, real cool shape. Same for Ju88 and He111s, smart. Good job my gramps isn't here any more, bless him, he lost part of his leg in a stuka attack while in the merchant, don't think he'd be too happy me playing this game?
Why can't lifeboats be either neutral or friendly status then people should get their renown penalised if they shoot at them? |

How many games are there for kids these days where they just go around "blasting" everything and everyone in sight? How violent are those games? Aren't we being a tad sensitive here? How many kids would want to spend hours playing at U-boat Captains anyway? And besides it would be a downloadable MOD for those that want it, not an add-on available for sale in shops to kids. Forgive me for saying this but the lads n' lasses, including myself, who dedicate themselves to this sim, and mods etc. are a bit like flightsim and trainsim fans, except maybe our anoraks are a different colour. |

I changed the name of the thread to a more suitable. As there is no ultimate "best" possible in SHIII.
Keep posting! I try and find something to post too! |

Having not actually "played" SH3 in a LONG LONG LONG time, I decided to take a break from modding to actually enjoy the game. Man, I was in awe again. I had forgotten how beautiful this game can be.
I only took a few screenshots, but that was because I was more concerned with wiping the drool off of my keyboard.

I really love how ships go down.
Night explosion. One more Elco, and nice reflections. This was during U-505 mission (where you have to sink a carrier), and one of the escorts is hit by torpedo. |
