One of the best WWI movies, which is unfortunately nearly forgotten is Uomini Contro (Many Wars Ago), an Italian movie from 1970 about the Alpes front. Highly recommended, a very intense film.

there is Sinking of the Lusitania: Terror at Sea but be warned as the role of the U-20 is played by a Type VII U-boat.

I know it's not a movie, but if you can find it the BBC TV series from the 70's, Wings is great. It's about a squadron of BE2c crews just at the beginning of the Eindekker's ascent to supremacy. It has some beautiful aerial shots, gorgeous aircraft and not even the occasional hammy acting turn or heavy handed social commentary can detract from the fact it's a true classic. We probably won't see anything remotely like it ever again, which is a shame.

The version I have is a DVD boxset with both the series in it. I think there were plans for a third but it never got made.
