[WIP]SKIN: SH5 Arctic Zebra Camo

I started a new Skin and was just getting ready to start Weathering Effects and my Mouse buttons started failing.

Here is a look at what I have for a start.

What do you think about this realistic skin? That would be perfect!

That skin in your link is from a model and is not realistic. I have a pic some where of actual Uboat Arctic Como Scheme. And it doesn't look like that. To be fare though, the scheme did vary from one type to the next type uboat.

The Zebra pattern in my skin is actual Zebra Texture and is also not realistic but I like it better then the Models Arctic scheme you linked.

On the Starboard side of the Conning Tower the stripes don't line up right.
I need to shift the texture left so the V shape is on the front of tower centered so when the tecture wraps it will line up correctly.
hahahaha makes your sub look like it has been decorated by a 1970's Pimp from the South side of L.A.

Pimp my sub!

Here are some boats that took part in PQ17 in Arctic schemes. I would like to have U-703 painting scheme for my SH5 U-boat

You are wrong TheBeast. Option B (in my link) is of course realistic arctic camouflage- U-307 (VIIC)

Maybe they used the zebra strips when they invaded Africa?

Yes, you are right. Option B in your link does look good. You should make it.

As the thread title states. This is a Zebra Skin. No claims to be historically accurate were ever made.

No, No, TheBeast, I did not think (and I didn´t say) so, that your unrealistic skin is wrong! On the contrary! You are very talented, your skin is nice and so I asked if you are so willing to make a arctic realistic skin for the 1943-1945 campaign. Thats all

Btw I can give support to you with hi-res photos and coloured side view from the journal U-Boot i. F., if you want.

I would do it but I don't think I can even finish the 2 WIP skins I have now.
I am a old fart and my eye's a failing me. Specially on this Zebra skin with the very high contrast.
I am experiencing great difficulty trying to put the weld seems and rust effects in place.
I try to be exact, down to the pixel but end up with very blurred vission after a while. So much so that I was about to post what I have hoping someone would be able to finish them.
