SHII Periscope mod?

So I've installed Silent Hunter 2 again and now I realise how difficult it is to take precise bearings from its periscope.

Is there a standalone periscope mod available which is similar to the one in Pacific Aces where there is a precise bearing gauge available?
I have seen references in the Subsim Archives to some full screen periscope mods for SHII but there is no working download link to be found

SH2 "Full Screen Scope" mod

There is the Periscope Reticule Mod in the Subsim legacy download section but it "only" adds a vertical reticule for x1 and x4 magnification.

Also, is the The Wolfpack League Silent Hunter II Hi-Res Enhancement Pack still available somewhere?
