The mods I use in SH3 represent maybe 10% of the mods I have in my collection. I assume most others are the same.

Wow guys, U all use a lot of mods. I thought All I would have to do is install SH3 Commander and GWX and I would be set. While I know that yes I could do that, am I right in thinking that I would be missing a whole lot.

If you guys dont mind, Im thinking of just coping and downloading the mods you guys use as i guess they all work well together and im assuming you just install them via JSGME.

I know that a persons mod soup is individual, but may I ask, would either of the Mod Soups here give me the best experience possible.

The main problem for guys such as myself whos been away for so long is where to start. The choice is mindblowing.

Hence the best soultion is normally to find someones mod soup, copy it and start from there.

I know this is cheeky, but I just want to get to sea as quick as possible and with the best possible experience SH3 can provide.

GWX & Commander are all you really need. Everything else is fluff. Nice fluff, though.

My advice: Take your time. Install things one at a time and test them. It's all personal preference. My list is quite a bit different from either of theirs, and changes often.

Again, that's a matter of personal preference. I've been restarting the game so often that in almost eight years of playing I've never quite finished a career.

Sailor Steve said true - it's personal taste which mods to use, everyone has own list, but there are mods described as "must have". For me must have are GWX 3 Gold, SH3Commander and hsie's hardcore exe fixes as a base. After many tests and being based on my own experiences I can propose You to use mods from my jsgme list:

Thankyou both for your quick replys, I can see where you are coming from Steve, and you're right I should take my time rather than try and rush things. I do tend to do that though.

I have GWX Gold, SH3 commander and the Hard fixes already installed, so while I am going to be looking closely at what's on both your lists, I will do my own soup, although it may take a little while to get as comprehensive or long as yours.

Thankyou both for your great advice, I think I have will download all the mods on both lists, and then see which ones suit me.
