Default DW manual postage

I tried to buy the Dangerous Waters Manual. I tried to pay with my credit card. Unfortunately Pay Pal will not let me pay without setting up a Pay Pal account. So I canceled the order. This is the only site I have been to that required me to set up a Pay Pal account. I do not trust Pay Pal and do not want to have anything to do with them. If there is some other way to buy without going through Pay Pal please let me know.

Sincerely,

Bill C

Hi
I live in the UK and when i clicked on buy the $20 manual suddenly became $45
I know you are posting it from the USA to the UK but dont you think that that is rather a lot of money for that item
I have looked elsewhere but cant seem to find one
So it seems i wont be getting it unless of course the shipping price is much much lower
Surly you would rather get something for the manuals that you have rather than let them collect dust and get nothing considering how old this game is

We don't control postage rates. They have to be shipped across the ocean, and that's the cost the postal service set.

Neal, is there any possibility of setting up some distributors in various parts of the world to help reduce the postage rates? Like the above poster, living in Japan it would cost more for the postage than the manual itself.

Japan's postal rates are lower than those of any other developed nation and I could probably ship manuals out cheaper than from any other country besides China.

Example, SAL mail (Combo of air & surface mail - air from Japan to destination country, surface for the rest of the journey) costs less than $7 for a 1kg package from Tokyo to the UK. Delivery would be around 1-4 weeks. Japan's mail service is very fast but unfortunately the Royal Mail is terrible and slow.

You may keep them in a cabinet but when was the last time that cabinet was opened ?
Surely you would rather get something for them rather than nothing whilst they are in your cabinet
I cant see a big market for this seeing how old the game is so surly you would want to get rid of them rather than just lying around in said cabinet
Find a cheaper postal way and i will get one
Matrix had the same problem with there manual for War in the West until they found a distributor or whatever it was they found then it took off as there is a big market in Europe

I do not understand why so many on Subsim have problems with PayPal, my wife and I have used it for years without any problems.
Mainly used for Ebay purchases for both in the UK and internationally.
They have an optional buy now pay later scheme where the payment is taken 14 days after the purchase.
Customer services are there to handle any disputes between the seller and purchaser.

Read the entire thread. Paypal isn't the problem in the last postings, shipping costs are.

I should perhaps mind my own business, but this entire post looks to me like little trolling.
If cannot afford printed manual +S&H, then read manual in PDF... it is available.
In fact, one can download pdf manuals to smart phone and read at one's leisure and gradually.

First of all i am not a troll
Its not the fact that i cant afford the manual its the fact about the shipping charges being more that what the manual is worth
Surly they would rather get something for theses manuals that they have rather than nothing bearing in mind how old this game is and how so few play it
I would gladly pay $25 for it but not £45
