Default Bug or user error?

Hi

I've just bought the NCPC off steam, and installed to XPERIA running in a virtual machine.

I'm playing sub command with scii/scx installed.

I'm trying to play the subwolf mission 'Arctic Hide And Seek' and I'm having zero results.

I have turned truth on to test this out and with my seawolf doing 5 kts, and the Typhoon doing 4kts I can't 'see' it on narrowband or broadband until I'm LESS THAN 500 YARDS!!!!!!!

I'm within 50 ft vertically, yet NOTHING shows up on either sensor system, regardless of which array I'm using.

So that's the first problem... Utter retarded and useless sonar kit.

2nd problem is how - if you can only detect them from 500 bloody yards, can you pick which of the two areas to go to???

Please can someone help?

Thanks.

Your (virtual) monitor settings might make it in-visible. You may want to tweak your monitor's brightness, contrast and gamma settings. I'm not familiar with what XPERIA means (I only know it as a home network router used by the dutch ISP KPN for it's customers) , or how this relates to a virtual machine. So I cannot suggest any solution on how to change these settings. You are not talking about Windows XP, right?

If you can see the faint line at 60 Hz in the bitmap image in this file then you have it set right:

I do not understand which "two areas" you speak of. Do you mean the 2 bearings provided by the towed array on port and starboard, .... or the two sides above or below the sound layer?
