The Tench is like the Balao, and not just in FotRSU, but anytime you get the boat too early, it trashes the game, due to so many aspects of the sub not being available, including an active home port, as WH4K found (I think it was him) because he got the boat in March instead of late August...

For a Tench test, just do a January 1945 or March 1945 start, and you should be able to see it just fine. The Balao would be a Fall of 1943, but I don't think I put one of those in... - or do a Single Mission after their effective dates...

Ahoy, all...
After 2 patrols, of which on the 2nd was able to finally bag some targets.. My boat (USS Spearfish - SS-190) is able to proudly add & display her accomplishments... 4 merchie's & 3 warships (destroyer escorts, but warships none the less ). Will need to see of grabbing the latest update for the mod... but will do so shortly. Of note, any plans to round out the kill flags.. as I noticed there were some... gaps as to the number of kills, or would additionals need to be looked at for us users to fill in the gaps as with the Capt.'s quarters (editing them as was advised/recommended)with the interior mod, vickers03.. just asking... as I am curious to know what your thoughts are on that. Am loving the ability to add a touch of color to our boats with the hard work you put in with this mod & want it known that I do appreciate it very much... Thanks for your efforts on this, vickers03. M. M.

hy ... propbeanie I tried everything you told me .. nothing worked with USS Torsk ... I can't see .... with Redfin; Kraken; Camotri; no problem!!!
The Redfin has a great career ... I know very little about the history of American submarines ... but it looks really fascinating to me once again I don't regret taking an interest in this kind of game. Ok, will see of making this part clearer.. even on rereading it Myself, I can see where it might lead to confusion & for that, My apologizes vickers03.
Ok, with the Capt.'s quarters name tag (found in the interior mod you also did), you gave info on how to go about editing that texture item... editing or rounding out this mod was where that was in reference to... As it is, after 8 kill selection in the ships sunk folder, it jumps up from 8 to 12.. with no 9, 10, 11 in between those. Just as that is there between kills 8-12, it is also repeated yet again with a jump from 12-16 & again 16-20 & finally 20-24. Of course, I do know & understand that, at some point in time, as a skipper, that there will be a transit from 1 sub, to another. So, with not having 9, 10, 11, kill flags, as well as 13, 14, 15... 17, 18, 19... & finally 21, 22, 23.. would the use of the editing you outlined in the interior mod, be doable in the interim to fill in those missing kill count flags... or is it better to wait for you with a future update that includes them.? (Am hoping for the latter as being done, cause I will admit... with doing the editing on the Capt.'s name plate in the interior mod... I got it done, but.. it wasn't easy... I am, Myself, more of a user of mods than a tinkerer of files & such.. think of Me as more of a... willing crash test dummy, if ya will. If it helps advance & make things better, I'm more than happy to deal with goofs, errors, things going wrong, knowing that all of it is for a greater good... making something good, even better, vickers03 bud ) Hope this helps for better clarity on what I was asking here... I know I could well jump the line but... that pesky belief system kicks My aft quarters & says... what do you think you're doing, get back to the end of the line & progress like you know you should...
