Ok I've tried it. It's great game, lots of very nice features you won't even expect. The developers did an incredible job. However I'm convinced that any serious subsimmer will keep playing SH3-SH5, because of the better and more complete interface and because of the graphics.

Well, it's certainly got a much better tutorial than SH5, actually showing you the best angle of attack. And the AI seems to be better than SH5. Perhaps they took some tips from TDW

I'm actually impressed! But I am a sucker for a UI that makes noises when you click something. Although they could brush up on history

Anyone else see the problem?

I'm trying the beta with Chrome (Google) translate now.

EDIT: AH, only the login in part works with translation. Time to test meinen German sprache understanding.... I think I'll be able to understand enough to play

I love the paradox here: people complained of always internet connection for SH5 but this SH Online crap requires full-time internet connection and no-one is complaining

thats irony for ya but then again when online is in the name you have no room to complain when you buy a game from a box and install it no online except for MP is kind of expected.

Also, SHO is free.

No paradox and no irony. If I spend fifty bucks for a game I expect to open the box, put in the disk and play it, not jump through hoops and be told I can't play the game I paid for because I don't have the proper connection.

With a game such as Rise Of Flight I'll pay to play online because I'm playing in a competitive mode with other players, and that's part of the experience. SHO is an online only game. I'm not being asked to pay for it, and I know what I'm getting, so there's no problem if I try it and don't like it.

No one is complaining about SHO because no one was asked to pay for a boxed game they could only play with the seller's permission.

If you see a paradox, the faulty thinking is on your end.
