When sailing to the Gulf through the Suez Canal my ship would top up the bunkers at Port Said and the Gilly Gilly man would come aboard (if the Captain gave permission) to entertain with his magic show.

Only a fool would leave their cabin door unlocked.

Thanks, somehow thought across one continent, which is what "transkontinental" means in german (other than "interkontinental" = across continents. When it was not West Africa i changed to the middle of the continent being also wrong
