SH3 Commander Random File
Is it possible to use the random file function from SH3 Commander to configure the ships equipment .cfg files?
My purpose would be adding a random chance that escorts might not have a functioning radar set on board. Historically, many early sets broke down or the later sets took a while to be installed. I'm thinking it'd be interesting to be able attempt surface convoy attacks post-1941 and have the uncertainty of being detected with radar. Not sure if the random file in Commander could do this or not. Just a thought. T |

i think so as TDW (or was it Hsie) used the random file to make the chance of random spotlights on merchants.

A great idea! The randomization by SH3Cmdr should be perfectly possible.

I think it would apply to all units of the same class. So each Hunt class destroyer you encounter in the patrol would be victimized by it.
