I do love the detail on that road, the uneven parts of it, you see a lot of roads on model railways that are completely flat, like they've never had roadworks going on on them, never had potholes patched up.
The wetlike asphault goes well with the autumn colours too, looks like a fall storm has just passed through in the early evening.

Thanks. It's joint compound painted with blackboard paint. I gotta do a better job of laying the lines down though.

The lines you have are great. I've never seen road lines put down absolutely perfect.

I was honestly fooled at first into thinking it was a real scene: I'm sure it was the lights that fooled my brain into not looking closer. What a great effect...

Best compliment a modeler can receive. Thanks!

Beautiful, especially the "night" scenes. If there was no reference, I may have thought they were real.

That must have taken a lot of time and patience to get all those LEDs set up. Worth it though, definitely worth it.
Love the shoeboxes too, very cold war.

Now that is my vote for post of the year.

Seriously, the road is perfect as is with all it's warts of existence. It sort of goes with the Back to the Future non-event.

The night scene looks perfect!

While not 'model railroad', this link is a 'feel good' link with a railroad flavour.
