try to install the optional mod of the dinamic env brighter nights and leave your monitor on the normal gamma value

Hmm, hasn't had any effect. And it's definitely not my gamma settings as I never fiddle with them but tried turning it all the way down anyway as a test and it was still abnormal.
The buttons came out on the printscreen but in game the gamma setting was so low they were just black. EDIT: Oh and I should mention these effects only occur underwater. Above water it looks fine, but makes using a periscope almost impossible!

Well I really want to fix this, for obvious reasons, so i've been searching through the silent hunter 5 directory and found hdr_underwater.cfg

Game crashes after loading
Hi folks
Even after I read all the warnings about SH5 I bought the game. Got it real cheap, about $5+ (guess it's not selling too well). Anyway it looks almost life like in my machine. Everything runs great with the exception of trying to load a game from a patrol. The loading just freezes and that's it, nothing more happens; I have to get out by terminating the game from Task Manager. This has me really fustrated; I've not been able to play it like you folks. I have it running with the patch and the only MODS using are Silent Fire SH5 1.1 and Loading Screens. I had many more but de-activated them thinking it was a Mod issue. Any ideas? These are my specs: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Intel Core i7 930@2.8GHz 2.80GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 12GB Ram |

I have tried removing all MODS, have tried starting new games w/ different names, always when I load it freezes.

The time compression can really screw you up once after a patrol of the English coast i returned back to port but i had time compression on a pretty high number as i was tired and wanted to finish the patrol however the time compression would not stop so i ended up smashing my precious VIIA U-boat up luckilly i had saved but that was back at England so i sail across the North Sea again but then i had made a course error and accidently put my course into one of the islands that surround the entrance to the port because i was zoomed out and small islands don't show up so i rammed straight into it and then after my game crashed so i finished it the next day

OK I'm New and Have LOTS of Problems
Hi,
I just bought SH5 and I've found out that the majority of commands on the help file just don't work and show no clues as to get them to work. Where is there a true HUD one with depth, course, and speed in one spot and with the ability to change them at will. The manual says that the external gunners are characters to talk to and that one can get to the Flak gun and the Deck gun by picking TAB. TAB just takes me to the navigation map. I can't find any command to GET me to the gun sites. Why can't the captain yell commands down the speaking tube or the open hatch from the bridge? I paid a lot for this game on STEAM and I can't even find it on my computer. How can I mod the game? HELP Answers to lrdnlson@nycap.rr.com |

Hey there I have a strange Bug.
Please take a look at this. Thats weird It happens quite a few time randomly when I load a game. Actually I have Sh5 style enhanced installed and not this one on the picture.... thats weird.
