I'd like to enjoy sh4 more, but it still crashes too often.

Atm its back to SH3 cause of the new compartments mods - engine room and crew quarters. SH4 awesome but one thing that has always annoyed me is not being able to zap back to base like in SH3 instead we have to sail all the way back which is a long trip, it takes long enough to get to your patrol point. I would rather waste fuel hunting then when there's all but a drop left, i can return to base with a click of the button.

I've only had SHIV and SHV, I might like SHIII if I get it.

SHIII but only by a slight margin. SHIV has many advantages and good new features but also some drawbacks and worse design in some areas in my opinion.
Overall, I have played and enjoyed SH3 more than 4.

My preference has always been for SH3, but with all the mods out for SH4, I'm slowly turning.
I love OM and OMEGU at the moment. If this interface can be modded to SH5.............. I think I'll pee. |

SH4
Fleet boats were a nice refreshment when it came out, and by the time I got bored with them we already had u-boats too so there was no reason to go back. |

SH3 for me,(with GWX) , I've got SH4 installed as well , but I always go back to 3 - I was thinking of getting SH5 but that will not be happening now ,and probably wont be happening even if Ubi dumps the DRM on it!

SH3 by a ton. I shelved SH4 after about three months and never touched it again. Main reason? Too sterile, lacking on immersion.

I think I prefer SH4. I've got a real soft spot for fleet boats. It's not perfect, though. The campaign - even modded - can seem a bit lifeless at times but the addition of the 'special missions' such as recon or lifeguard duty help this a lot.
