Default Happy Veteran's day

I was surprised to see no one had posted Veteran's day greetings as this is such an Important day.

This is an American holiday to celebrate our Veteran's and their sacrifices. With that said, I will extend that to those Veteran's in Subsim in their respective countries who served and fought for the cause of Peace.

I was under the impression that Armistice day represented the same thing, but Happy Veteran's Day too. If we lump in Nov 10th yet we can wish the United States Marine Corps a happy 248th birthday as well.

Armistice day, to my understanding, marked the end of World War 1 and the cessation of hostilities. It's not really the same thing although, I think both could be celebrated together. Veterans day to me and others is a day to celebrate our veterans, past and current for the service and sacrifices.

A friend of mine who is a Sgt. Major in the Marines reminded me of the 248th birthday of the U.S Marines last week. He told me the Marines of today are every bit as dedicated as his initial group was, in boot camp, and beyond.

So, joining you in wishing the Marines a happy birthday and offering thanks and gratitude.
Semper Fi, Marines.
