Anyway, there's a bit more to a truly dynamic campaign than just player results affecting it.
And the .RND file, as interesting as it can be, is still composed of scripted events. The game doesn't generate them on the fly, i.e.
It has a few parameters to throw in some randomness, but that's not dynamic. It is certainly a fun campaign. But it's most certainly not dynamic.
Anyway, fwiw.
Yes that's true John it's actually random more than dynamic (Aside from some small effects in the player like renown accumulated that allows you to option your uboiat, flotilla transfer and such), but the point is, it adds a lot of replayabilty value. Without that, SH3 would likely have already followed the fate of SH2 after exhausting the novelty

Sorry, missed this weeks ago. Yes, very true. Of course, part of that is because the SH series is the only u-boat show in town.
I wonder if there will ever be a new u-boat game.......fingers crossed.

Kapt: Lehman:
I hope that your work and those of your associates is progressing rapidly. I was a Grey Wolves user for some time and after a long absence, recently came back to the Subsim world - logged onto the LSH3-2022 - and was pleasantly surprised that there were many folks still interested in the SH3 world. But, alas, that version is collapsing for lack of support by the original members, designers and the death of its founder.

It may be that your work and your designer's work will turn out to be the final existence of this program and its virtual world. I wish you well...and a hasty emergence of your program.

Oh, and I am 90 y/o in August. Yeah, an ancient mariner indeed.

Hi everyone.

Just poking the periscope up for a bit.

Heavy work continues on GWX - Knight's Cross edition.
There are far more miles behind us than are in front of us.
There are many moving parts in this juggernaut and we are working through all of them in a methodical way.
There was a little dip in production during the holidays, but the engines have been running at 'ahead standard' again for some time now.

Just letting you know. Everything is fine and the team is still rolling. I even have a machine in place should I inadvertently steer into a mine.

Sink'em ALL!!!
