Default Sinking ships - creaks and groans?

I miss these noises from SHIII. The eerie sounds of sinking ships breaking up from within your sub. Any files I can bung into the mod folder?

Hi Compans57

The following mods should add screaming survivors to the game:

FX Update
SH5 Wooden Lifeboats
Wooden Lifeboats Mod

I think that the first two mods have been merged in TWoS, and they are not supposed to be used on top of it. If you are a TWoS user and you still don't get those sounds, they have probably been disabled for a good reason.

The last mod has been designed for SHIII, but it has been tested in SH5 and it still works.

I'm more interested in the sounds of ships going down that you hear when your sub is submerged. They don't seem to be in the game?

Yes, they are in stock game. I don't know if they are in TWoS too, but I don't think Vecko removed them.

Have you tried listening to them at the hydrophone?

I've been listening all over the boat, at periscope and at the hydrophone station. I don't hear them. They were like that moment in Das Boot when the torpedoed ship's 'back broke' and there were submerged sounds of rending metal. SHIII and mods had these very effectively including Thomssen's great sound mod. Any chance of a mod? I'd do it myself but I have no idea how.

I think the sound file in question is 'Scufundare vapor'. I'm not hearing it. How is this triggered in game? I'm happy to take a look if I knew how it worked in terms of code.

Thanks that sounds good, but I'm really wanting to hear it in the control room, like Das Boot and it was in SHIII. Presumably it's an ambient sound loop and it's triggered by a nearby sinking. I have the sound file (it's there in stock sounds), I just don't know how to code it.
