Default Hello Guys..... I Just Found 2 Great Books from WWII

I know it's been a long time but real life comes first these days. I had to share this with you all.

Now for the books.... both are paperbacks I came across a friend had stashed away. I never saw either of them until now.

1. U-505 by Rear Admiral (ret.) Daniel V. Gallery. He boarded and captured the 505 in June 1944. The first American officer to capture an enemy warship since 1815. It's his own story. It's the 5th printing in August 1972. Cost back then.... $.95. Oh how I wish it was a First Edition.

2. U-Boat Commander by Captain Gunther Prien. His own story of sinking the Royal Oak at Scapa Flow on August 14, 1939. 2nd printing in February 1976 at a cost of $1.25.

Run Silent Run Deep!

when you are finished with those try these:
wolfpack by steven trent smith. about US wolf packs in the pacific
execute against japan by joel ira holwitt. about the US decision to implement unrestricted submarine warfare upon the japanese
unrestricted warfare by james f. derose. about the new US skippers who took over command of the boats in 1942-3 from the peacetime skippers.
