And now...
No sir, we're just moving through a smoke cloud...ya...thats it. 'Sir, that cruisier we're supposed to be protecting...' 'Supposed?' 'Well, its sinking' Same ship: 'Sir, notice the deck angle?' 'Yes, why am I looking at the sky?' 'Because we're sinking, asswards' |

Here are the pics of a destroyer that sunk definitely at the wrong place:
This is one of the ideal hiding places if you have at least one torp left: Finally a tribute to 2001 Space Odyssey: |

I just finished watching the "Schindler´s List" and there´s the scene (scenes more likely) where the little girl´s red jacket is the only thing colored (The whole movie is in B&W), so I though to give it a try in my screenshots.

Great pictures, Dowly! Especially second pic.
Some of my screenshots: Ever had those "Oh sh*t" moments? These two are from my latest patrol, C2 goes down, bow rising like a skyscaper from water. I hit troop ship twice (one magnetic and one impact) and she didn't sink! She just sitting there and this Clemson class destroyer came to help. I'm out of torpedos, so plan is to wait until escorts have gone with the remaining convoy, and then surface and use deck gun to finish her. I'm counting that she can't hit me if I'm far enough while my gun crew can... |

In the pics your sub seemed to have tacked in the supersturctre of the ship like that poor Russian mini sub did last year. Only in your case there will be no Brits to save you. |

Nice one, Dowly. |
