Default 90 degree torpedo turn?

Hi - first new war patrol in a long time. I have JSME loaded with RFB and RSRD. On my first patrol out of Manilla, all my torpedoes are taking an immediate 90 degree turn as soon as I fire them, regardless of being locked on a target or not. Is this a historical torpedo problem or a mod problem?

A conflicting mod problem me thinks, list the game version and all the mods you're using.

Are you using manual or automatic targeting?

Ok - I'm thinking the save might have gotten bugged somehow, since I reloaded that career from base, and tried to first the fore tubes and they all ran hot, straight and normal.

Tried a new career too out of Manila, and same result.

I'll try and tangle with that same TF that I was having the issue with, and we'll see what I come back with.

Thanks!!

Hrm. No idea, then. I've seen the same sort of thing happen when entering data incorrectly in manual targeting.

Hopefully it was just a bugged save.

I think it might be the improved ship physics mod. I tried out the latest one and found my torpedoes doing very very strange things, such as passing through ships and exploding next to them when set to contact detonation.

I downloaded and used an earlier version of ISP instead (I think it was 2.6) and everything worked fine.

Edit: It was ISP version 2.15 that I am still using with no problems. I bloody hate 15m/s winds now

I've been using ISP v2.6 for months now with no issues

Someone pointed out the <Ctrl> <N> key combination will change the weather to 0m/sec. (Not that I'm overly fond of dead calm water either, but 15m/sec for weeks on end is totally ahistoric). If <Ctrl> <N> does not work for you, it is likely RSRD which changed the key combo.

TMO (with ISP but without RSRD) supports the <Ctrl> <N> weather change key combo.

Just tried it again with the same career from port, torpedoes ran fine, got to the task force and they did the same 90 degree turn. I'll try an older version of ISP and see if that works.

Thanks all!

Default ISP experience

By the way, I want to ask the players who use ISP if they see AI ships sinking because of stormy conditions.

ISP v2.6

Just last night... 11 meter/sec wind and raining, dusk lighting. Had to get close to observe, but yes.
