It must be a great source of encouragement and entertainment to those who would like to undermine the western alliance.

Meanwhile, I have noticed over the last ten years or so that many free countries have started flirting with the concept of giving Authoritarians control of their government.

Never mind that once Authoritarians gain control, they never want to give it up. Somehow, these countries are too big to fail and once the the whole dictator thing gets old, they can just go back to business as usual.

This view stands in stark contrast to EVERYTHING I have learned and experienced.

Its the same as hoping for total chaos in your society. For the folks who think that would be great, I always ask how they would order a pizza for delivery in a total chaos society? I mean, EVERYTHING has broken down and you can no longer go shopping, you have to go scavenging while armed to the teeth. You're assuming that the total chaos stuff applies to everyone BUT you. No matter what, you're always going to be the luckiest S.O.B. on the planet and ALWAYS get what you want.



Trust me, it doesn't work like that.

If this is true then I don't see that anyone would or could vote for him. This makes it rather dangerous if he is elected, surely this wouldn't happen!!

When Stoltenberg says that any suggestion that allies will not be defended undermines the credibility of the alliance - does this also adress states that talk a lot about loyalty to the alliance and defending it - but do not go to the trouble of enabling themselves to actually do so? Germany, for example, could no longer do so because it doesn't understand that its armed forces need ammunition to be able to fire, for example.

I hate to say it, but: Trump is right for once. And so was Obama, who has also complained about the Germans, but in a more subtle tone. And Clinton complained before him. And Bush complained before him. What did the Germans do during all the bitching?

They kept on cutting their former armed forces.

And the Germans are not alone in this. France: the same. Great Britain. Italy. Spain. The only really large battle-ready army in Europe - is the Turkish.

And after two years of war and all sorts of threats by Putin against NATO countries, there still hasn't been a real jolt to strengthen our defenses, except maybe the Polish and Baltic states, while Finland and Sweden have understood something important! Yet Putin has proven that he is serious and not just making empty threats.

Is Western and Central and Southern Europe asleep - or has it already gone completely mad and stupid?


I predict more conflicts sown by Putin, in Africa, to distract Europe and the US and to weaken their reserves and making them overstretching themselves. The Russian goal is clear. It wants to completely annihilate the post WW2 world order.

Why should we pay for everything for everybody? Especially now that we have millions more illegal aliens to foot the bill for thanks to sleepy joe and his cronies.
