Default What are you doing now in real life

Way late but better than never.

Nothing of importance any more... retired with wife, cats and Silent Hunter III.

Some consider boring ... I am happy.

Dead beat this morning after a great feast for six; prepared by my chef wife(I peeled potatos) & served on our Christmas themed china service. And, while everyone's sacked out in front of the telly digesting, it falls to me to scullery the kitchen back to pristinity for the next day's culinary efforts. All the china dishes have to be washed by hand! Good thing I was a dishwasher/busboy for a summer at a local drugstore lunch counter where everyone did business (in'68)when not caddying golfbags; nuthin like on-the-job training for 42 years of domestic bliss...she cooks; I clean!

I just found an old plate I designed for Royal Doulton on ebay. You can't eat off these, however - they're described as 'cabinet plates'

PS: I don't get a royalty if you buy one - but why would you want to anyway

NICE! the gift my mom gave us 42 years ago for our wedding gift is Royal Doulton Shearbrook pattern-svc for 8 Now discontinued,we've added more to it, incl. the serving-dishes & lids, as they become available on-line from time to time. Both services are stacked meticulously downlow 'cabinet plates' at floor level; so they don't get ruined in the next earthquake like our everyday crockery does...twice!!... in 2000(along with the chimney-epicentered 500 yards from the house!) and the 2014 tembler that ruined downtown Napa! The Christmas service is a handpainted Mexican affair-we don't trust to survive in a dishwasher-hence handwashing.

Markus
Mine arrived this morning but was probably late because of the postal strike and the shortage of staff needed to carry the heavy item down my drive

I'm trully sorry you don't get royalties but at least you get credit for the artwork. Will you sign my plate if I find one?
