Maybe I should.
Not really familiar with the different emulators. Just dug this one up out of some years-old backup folder for some good ol' times. Those old games were challenging, far more so than today's games. Having a blast.

I gave my SNES to a friend last year, who's really into Zelda games. He sold it for €15 because he didn't have any cash.
(FFS, could have just borrowed the money. All he had to do was ask. )

still got a N64..only problem the controller's joysticks are worn out, good console but the worst stock controllers of the Nintendo franchise.
never owned a NES or SNES myself but used to play it a lot at my friend's hous. Emulators are nice, especially when you play with a gamepad (if your crazy enough you buy a NES/SNES USB controller ) but still it misses something of having something solid in front of a TV where you ram your Cartridges in. I remember that; dust/scrapings would build up in the "well" the stick pokes out from. Movement became rough and you got a lot of free travel.
And I agree, the real thing beats an emulator by a mile. "Do you expect me to talk?" "No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"

Hmm... emulator... so um guessing you have to download the game files, cause I know a super nintendo cartrage wont work with a PC.

Hmm ya lets steer away from emulators shall we? Virtually all these games are still copyright, so you don't have rights to the game roms unless you actually own the cartridge.

And not to forget that emulators are "illegal" to begin with.

Nintendo can stand any way it likes, doesn't mean they are entirely correct. Emulators are perfectly legal, the grey/red area is playing licensed games on them.

If these cartridges were still widely available, preferably the consoles themselves as well, then I would agree it's a bad thing.
As it stands though, they're denying the young, up-and-coming gamers the chance to play a classic like Super Mario Bros. That's just evil. (Let's just forget about Nintendo releasing the classics for Wii and DS, for the sake of argument. ) Nice one.
