DESCRIPTION:

This Paintkit is an addon to the Atlantic Theater Operations -
SHIV Uboat campaign. This Paintkit will give the player (you) the
ability to add tower emblems to your U-boat with a minimal
amount of muss n' fuss.

This Paintkit is not JSGME ready and requires basic knowledge of
a good graphics program. You may also need the nVidia DDS
plugin for Photoshop available at:
http://developer.nvidia.com/object/p...s_plugins.html

HOW TO:

Look for and open the folder named after the U-boat you are currently
operating. Open the psd file in your favorite graphics program. Open
the historic emblems psd file and find your desired emblem. Copy and
paste your desired emblem on the ship psd on top of the test emblem.
BE SURE TO TURN OFF OR DELETE THE LAYER WITH THE TEST EMBLEM!!!
Depending on the size and shape of the emblem you may wish to
resize it to taste. Finally, save your file as noted in the individual
instructions below.

All files must be placed under \Data\Textures\TNormal\tex

Type IIB
Filename to use: "NSS_Uboat2b_T01.tga"

Type IIC
Filename to use: "Typ_2C_Hull.tga"

Type IID
Filename to use: "Typ_2D_Hull.tga"

Type VIIB
Filename to use: "NSS_Uboat7b_hull.tga"

Type VIIC
Filename to use: "NSS_Uboat7c_hull.tga"

Type VIIC41
Filename to use: "NSS_Uboat7c_hull.tga"

Type VIID
Filename to use: "NSS_Uboat7d_hull.tga"

Filename to use: "turm9c_1.tga"

COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHR'S EMBLEM MOD FOR OMEGU

Available at: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=157758

You can use the emblems included in "Historical Emblems.psd" in combination with Othr's Emblem mod if you wish. Simply copy the layer containing the emblem you wish to use to a blank 256x256 image with transparent background and save to \Data\Textures\TNormal\tex as either emblem.tga or emblem.dds. Depending on the size and shape of the emblem you may wish to resize it to taste.
