Default New & realistic Liberty ship

Hello every one,

I've modeled a Liberty ship from detailed technical plans (actually my first attempt in modeling a ship...), and I think it will be far better than the SH3 or even the SH5 model... What do you think? Maybe it's too much and unusefully detailed... But as this ship was built in a very huge number by the USA and was sailing all over the seas, I though it was necessary to give a decent model to the game...

I know how to import the model in SH3, but I will let you do the work for SH5 if some guys are interested...

Looks pretty

What's its poly count? If you plan to use it for SH5, you'll need internal damage model as well for points where hull is going to break.

Actually importing into SH5 in its native GR2 format is not that hard, only major limitation being that you cannot add/remove meshes, only replace them - so new model must have exactly the same amount of parts as stock model chosen for "template". For Liberty it won't be a problem though for you can simply use stock Liberty as template.

So the ship (with all her detailed parts) is composed of around 66.000 triangles.

Seems good, twice the amount of stock Liberty but still well within engine capabilities considering that stock Bismarck has similar number of triangles.

I won't volunteer for importing it as currently I have my hands full with my own ship mod, but if you want to give it a try and import it into game yourself, I'd be happy to help if you encounter any problems in Goblin/GR2 Editor.

I don't play to SH5. So I will first import it into SH3.
