That is for the AI subs in H.sie's Wolf Pack patch.

While we’re at it, I made a mistake with the settings when we meet ennemy ship/plane for first time … and now in my career I’d like to change it but no way too access this little window again… do you know if we can access this setting somewhere ?

While in the game itself (not the main menu, etc.) hit esc key, choose options, choose reset default option.

Absolutely correct!
Using a Stock AI_Sensor.dat
I find the maximum range = 8000
and MinSurface = 0.0
kind of crazy for AirCraft!

That's saying a Plane will spot you at 5 miles distance even if just your scope is up and NOT moving!

MinSurface is The minimum surface of the detected object [m2].

I'd say lower the Maximum range and increase the MinSurface for an Aircraft only AI_Sensor.dat

I wonder how many people have perished WISHING planes could see you like that!

Hi Jeff,

IIRC, the MinSurface value is taken from sim.cfg if it is equal to 0 in AI_sensors.dat.

Best, LGN1

Yes it is.
I still doubt a Plane could spot a 65 foot by 65 foot non moving object at 5 miles back then.
GWX does it with a MaxRange = 30000!
That's 18+ miles!

When you're happy with your settings, please post a screenshot of the settings of your new AI_aircraft_visual sensor. It can be useful for a bunch of guys, including me.
