Silent Hunter 1 CE with Dos Box and D-Fend Reloaded
Hello,
I'm now trying to load and play the game with Dos Box and D-Fend Reloaded, but cannot set up well. On the way to start up, the window appears and says "CD error, please place the game cd-rom to cd-drive", but the disc is still there. I use windows 7, 64bit. Anyone advise me how to set up them properly. Explanation with captions would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your kind assistance in advance. Yattky

One of the config files has a path pointing to a location on the CD. DOSBox may have problems recognizing that location. It's been a while, but I seem to recall having that problem with SH1.
On a side note, the files on the CD are easily copied to the hard drive, and the config file is an editable text file.

On the CD, there is a directory named BUD, containing 16 vid files (type SMK).
Copy this directory on your hard drive, into your install directory. In this install directory, you will find a config file named : SHPATH.INI. Open it and replace : Quote:
